Acer Refreshes Aspire Line with Four Copilot+ PCs
Acer just dropped four new Aspire Copilot+ PCs at Computex 2026 — two laptops (Aspire X 16 AI and Aspire 18 AI) and two all-in-one desktops (Aspire C27 AI and Aspire C24 AI). The lineup covers the mainstream consumer and SMB segment, with the X 16 AI positioning as the premium thin-and-light flagship and the C-series all-in-ones targeting home offices and family use.
For Malaysian buyers, the Aspire 18 AI is the most interesting launch — it ships in EMEA in June 2026, meaning local retailers could have stock as early as Q3 2026.
Acer Aspire X 16 AI — Premium Thin-and-Light
The Aspire X 16 AI (AX16-I71M) is Acer’s premium consumer thin-and-light, drawing design inspiration from high-performance laptops to deliver power and portability.

Key specs:
- Up to Intel Core Ultra X9 388H, X7 358H, or 5 338H processors
- Up to 180 platform TOPS for AI workloads
- Intel Arc Graphics with dual-fan Vortex Flow cooling
- 16-inch 3K OLED WQXGA+ (2880×1800), 16:10, 100% DCI-P3, DisplayHDR True Black 500, 500 nits peak, 120 Hz
- Up to 32 GB LPDDR5X, up to 2 TB dual M.2 PCIe Gen4 SSD
- 1080p FHD IR camera with temporal noise reduction
- DTS:X Ultra audio, triple mics
- 2x Thunderbolt 4, HDMI 2.1, microSD, USB-A 3.2, RJ-45
- Intel Killer Ethernet + Killer Wi-Fi 6E AX1675i, Bluetooth 5.4
- 84 Wh battery: up to 24 hours video, 19 hours web, 14 hours MobileMark 2030
- 15.9 mm thin, 1.6 kg, aluminum refined steel gray finish, 150-degree hinge
The 180 TOPS platform AI power is the standout spec. The 3K OLED display with 100% DCI-P3 makes this a creator-friendly thin-and-light at the Aspire price point. The 24-hour battery life is a meaningful improvement over the previous generation.
Acer Aspire 18 AI — Big Screen, Long Battery
The Aspire 18 AI (A18-I71M) targets home users, students, and digital content creators who want a large display. The 18-inch form factor is unusual at this price tier — most 18-inch laptops are gaming or workstation class.

Key specs:
- Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors (up to 9 386H, 7 355, 5 325, 5 322)
- Up to 100 platform TOPS
- 18-inch WUXGA (1920×1200) IPS, 16:10, 100% sRGB, 400 nits, 165 Hz
- 91% screen-to-body ratio, narrow bezels
- Up to 32 GB LPDDR5X, up to 2 TB dual M.2 PCIe Gen4 SSD
- 1080p FHD IR camera, DTS Audio
- 2x Thunderbolt 4, HDMI 2.1, 2x USB-A 3.2
- Intel Wi-Fi 7 BE211, Bluetooth 5.4, Bluetooth LE audio
- 71 Wh battery: up to 22 hours video, 17.5 hours web, 11.5 hours MobileMark 2030
- 12.4-19.0 mm thin, 2.19 kg
- MIL-STD-810H certified, 180-degree hinge, aluminum lid with color-shifting Acer logo
- 100% recyclable packaging, EPEAT Gold registration

The 165Hz refresh rate on an 18-inch panel is unusual — most productivity-focused large laptops cap at 120Hz. The color-shifting Acer logo is a fun design touch that signals this is a consumer-focused product, not a corporate fleet machine.

The 2.19 kg weight is heavy for a productivity laptop but reasonable for an 18-inch form factor. Battery life at 22 hours is best-in-class for the size.
Acer Aspire C27 AI and C24 AI — All-in-One Desktops
The Aspire C-series all-in-ones come in 27-inch (C27) and 23.8-inch (C24) form factors, with optional touchscreen on both. The new ErgoStand design supports comfortable viewing angles and improved ergonomics.
AMD-powered models (C27D-GGP, C24D-GGP):
- AMD Ryzen AI 400 Series processors (Ryzen AI 9 465, 7 445, 5 430) on “Zen 5” architecture
- Up to AMD Radeon 880M Graphics
- Up to 64 GB dual-channel DDR5, up to 1 TB M.2 PCIe Gen4 SSD
Intel-powered models (C27D-PTL, C24D-PTL):

- Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors (7 356H, 7 355, 5 325) with Intel Graphics
Common specs:
- FHD (1920×1080) display, up to 144 Hz, narrow bezel, 90% screen-to-body ratio
- Optional touchscreen
- 5MP IR pop-up camera with 2 stereo mics
- Stereo speakers
- USB-C 2.0, 2x USB-A 2.0, 2x USB-A 3.2 Gen 2, HDMI 1.4b, DisplayPort, LAN, 2x combo jacks
- 120W AC adapter
- Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3
- 27″ model: 614.65 x 163.22 x 458 mm
- 23.8″ model: 540.40 x 163.22 x 415.51 mm
The AMD Ryzen AI 9 465 is the flagship chip — Zen 5 architecture with a powerful NPU. For Malaysian families looking for a clean desk setup with strong AI performance for schoolwork and home use, the AMD-powered C27 AI is the most compelling option.

Our Take
The Aspire X 16 AI is the most interesting premium thin-and-light Acer has shipped in years. The combination of 3K OLED, 180 platform TOPS, 24-hour battery, and 1.6 kg weight puts it in direct competition with the MacBook Air M4 and ASUS Zenbook A14. The Intel Core Ultra X9 388H is the real performance differentiator — most thin-and-lights at this weight class don’t go beyond Core Ultra 7.
For Malaysian content creators who want OLED accuracy without paying Zenbook Duo or MacBook Pro prices, the X 16 AI is worth a serious look when it lands in July 2026.
The Aspire 18 AI is a niche but interesting product. The 18-inch productivity laptop category is underserved — most options are gaming or workstation. The 165Hz refresh rate, 100% sRGB, and 22-hour battery make this a strong “stay-at-home productivity” machine. For Malaysian students doing heavy multitasking and content work, the large display is a real differentiator.
The C27/C24 AI all-in-ones are the volume play. All-in-ones have struggled in recent years as tablets and laptops took over the home computing space, but the AMD Ryzen AI 9 465 with Radeon 880M Graphics makes the C27 a legitimate family entertainment and productivity machine. The pop-up 5MP IR webcam is a thoughtful touch for video calls.
The Aspire 18 AI’s June 2026 EMEA launch is the earliest of the four. Malaysian retailers typically get EMEA stock within 4-6 weeks of European availability, so expect to see it in stores by August 2026.
The biggest question is pricing. The Aspire line traditionally lands 20-30% below ASUS Zenbook and HP Pavilion equivalents. If Acer holds that line, the X 16 AI with Core Ultra X9 could be the best-value premium thin-and-light of 2026.
