If you are fine with a last-gen chipset — which I must say is still plenty potent for everything the Android gaming space has to offer to date — then you might be interested in these awesome deals. The ROG Phone 6 and 6D are now available with massive discounts, starting from just RM2,199 for the ROG Phone 6D, and RM2,299 for the ROG Phone 6.
ROG Phone 6D: Dimensity 9000+ for just RM2,199!
Doing some quick research, you might find that the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1-powered ROG Phone 6 faced some issues with its camera and fingerprint sensor getting broken after updates. For a relatively fuss-free experience, I would point you towards the ROG Phone 6D, powered by the powerful Dimensity 9000+. While this chip may not be as powerful as the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, the ROG Phone 6D appears to be a much more stabler option.
Aside from the chipset, the ROG Phone 6D is nigh identical to the ROG Phone 6. That means a stunning 6.78-inch 165Hz FHD+ AMOLED display, massive 6000mAh battery and the renowned 360-degree cooling afforded by the GameCool 6 thermal system. And then of course there are the ROG Phone series’ signature AirTriggers, now in their 5th iteration (although confusingly named AirTrigger 6 to coincide with the name of the device itself). If you are up to experience the best MediaTek had to offer in 2022, look no further, the ROG Phone 6D is the way to go.

ROG Phone 6: Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 starting from RM2,299!
If you are considering the Nothing Phone (2), forget it. Just get the ROG Phone 6. Just kidding. There might be other reasons you want the Nothing Phone (2), like the intriguing Glyph Interface on the back, or you might have been smitten by Carl Pei’s charisma, but otherwise, the ROG Phone 6 is an absolute steal. For RM2,299, or RM700 less, you are getting the same chipset, a larger battery and faster charging with an included charger, no less.
The Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 offers a few perks over the Dimensity 9000+, especially in the graphics and thermal/efficiency departments. But as mentioned earlier, there were some early teething issues with the ROG Phone 6, which the ROG Phone 6D didn’t seem to face at all. Most, if not all, of the issues have been ironed out, so I would still opt for the ROG Phone 6, unless you are particularly wary. Or you just want to save the extra RM100 to get a nice case for the ROG Phone 6/6D.
