Huawei Unveils a Four-Device Lineup for Productivity, Creativity and Active Lifestyles

Huawei Malaysia has rolled out its latest consumer lineup, headlined by the HUAWEI MatePad Pro Max, an ultra-slim flagship tablet built on Huawei’s Cloud Falcon Architecture. The new range, announced on 9 June 2026, also brings the HUAWEI nova 15 Max smartphone, the HUAWEI WATCH KIDS X1 Series and the HUAWEI WATCH GT Runner 2 Racing Legend Edition to Malaysian shelves, reinforcing Huawei’s vision of a connected ecosystem that spans work, creativity, entertainment and family life.

Leading the announcement is the MatePad Pro Max, which Huawei is positioning as the world’s thinnest and lightest tablet at 4.7mm thin and 509g. The headline figures are made possible by Huawei’s Cloud Falcon Architecture, a structural design approach that lets the tablet combine flagship-tier performance with the kind of portability usually reserved for e-readers. For Malaysian users who split their days between hybrid work setups, café catch-ups and creative projects on the move, that weight class changes how often the device actually leaves the bag.

The display is where Huawei wants users to linger. The MatePad Pro Max carries a 13.2-inch 3K Flexible OLED PaperMatte Display with ultra-narrow bezels and a true full-screen design, delivering a 94% screen-to-body ratio. Huawei’s updated PaperMatte technology uses nano-level etching to reduce glare and improve sharpness, an important pitch for Malaysians who read, mark up PDFs and sketch for hours under overhead lighting or near sunlit windows.

Beyond the panel, the MatePad Pro Max is built around a PC-level productivity workflow, anchored by AI-powered WPS Office with enhanced multitasking, document editing and online collaboration. Pair the tablet with the HUAWEI Glide Keyboard and HUAWEI M-Pencil Pro, and Huawei argues it transforms into a versatile mobile workstation that handles professional tasks and creative work in equal measure.

Malaysian pre-orders open at RM5,999 via the HUAWEI Official Store, with free gifts worth up to RM3,154. The bundle includes a HUAWEI M-Pencil Pro, HUAWEI mouse, WPS AI, HUAWEI Notes, a one-year APAC warranty and a one-year, two-times PaperMatte Display Care service, which is a useful safety net for a flexible OLED panel in a country where accidental drops and coffee spills are part of daily life.

HUAWEI nova 15 Max: A Mid-Range Workhorse With Flagship-Grade Display

HUAWEI MatePad Pro Max

Joining the tablet is the HUAWEI nova 15 Max, a smartphone positioned for users who care about creativity, entertainment and everyday reliability. It ships in Blush Gold and Golden Black, powered by a Kirin 8000 Series chipset with an 8,500mAh “Super battery” and intelligent power optimisation designed to stretch a full day of mixed usage.

The display is the surprise headline. A 6.84-inch OLED Eye Comfort panel with a 120Hz intelligent refresh rate and up to 4,000 nits peak brightness puts the nova 15 Max in flagship-tier brightness territory, a real advantage for outdoor content viewing and gaming in Malaysian sunlight. Symmetrical stereo dual speakers cap out at 85dB, and Huawei has built in SGS 5-star Drop Resistance Premium Performance certification, upgraded bend resistance and IP65 water and dust resistance, a durability package that should appeal to users who are tough on their phones. A 50MP RYYB Ultra-Clear Camera handles imaging. The nova 15 Max is on sale at the HUAWEI Official Website from 9 June 2026 at RM1,699, with free gifts worth up to RM827, including a RM200 rebate and a HUAWEI Band 10.

WATCH KIDS X1 Series and WATCH GT Runner 2 Racing Legend Edition

Rounding out the lineup are two wearables. The HUAWEI WATCH KIDS X1 Series is Huawei’s first dedicated family smartwatch, designed to help children stay connected while giving parents real-time location awareness and communication tools. The 1.82-inch AMOLED display is paired with front and rear HD cameras in a detachable, rotatable design, with a standalone camera on the X1 Pro. Colourways are mecha-inspired: Pink and Blue for the X1, Black and Purple for the X1 Pro. Pre-orders are open at RM1,599 for the X1 Pro and RM999 for the X1, with free gifts worth up to RM808, including a one-year HUAWEI Care+ subscription.

HUAWEI WATCH GT Runner 2 Racing Legend Edition

For runners, the HUAWEI WATCH GT Runner 2 Racing Legend Edition introduces a marathon-inspired aerodynamic build, plus an enhanced Training Camp Dashboard and a Running Ability Index (RAI) that scores performance and recommends training intensity. It retails at RM1,499 with free gifts worth up to RM491, including a one-year APAC warranty, an in-box fluroelastomer watch strap and a three-month HUAWEI Health+ subscription.

Our Take

Huawei’s June 2026 lineup is a clear statement of intent in Malaysia. The MatePad Pro Max is the most aggressive move: at 4.7mm and 509g, it undercuts the iPad Pro on thickness while pushing a 13.2-inch 3K OLED panel with PaperMatte treatment, and the RM5,999 price tag with up to RM3,154 in freebies makes the value math genuinely competitive against Samsung’s flagship tablets. For hybrid workers, university students and creators who travel light, the MatePad Pro Max plus Glide Keyboard plus M-Pencil Pro bundle is now a credible laptop replacement for everyday work.

The nova 15 Max, meanwhile, is the most interesting mid-range phone Huawei has shipped in Malaysia in a while. 4,000 nits peak brightness, an 8,500mAh battery, IP65 and SGS drop resistance at RM1,699 is a hard spec sheet to argue with, even if Huawei’s app ecosystem still asks for some patience from buyers who depend on specific Google services.

The WATCH KIDS X1 Series is a more cautious bet. The detachable camera and real-time location features are useful, but Malaysian parents will want to read the privacy and data handling policy carefully before putting a connected camera on a child’s wrist, particularly with younger users. The WATCH GT Runner 2 Racing Legend Edition, by contrast, is a straightforward upgrade for runners who already trust Huawei’s training data. Overall, Huawei’s June lineup shows a brand that knows exactly which Malaysian users it wants to win, and is pricing and bundling aggressively to do it.
