Horizon Collection Targets Malaysian Bulk-Shopping Habits
Haier Malaysia has officially launched the Horizon Multi-Door Collection, a new flagship refrigerator range built around how Malaysian households shop and store food today. The line was unveiled in Petaling Jaya under the theme “Beyond What You See”, broken into three pillars: Beyond Time (freshness), Beyond Space (capacity and layout) and Beyond Imagination (premium experience details).
“Malaysian households are changing the way they shop and manage food, with many now stocking up for one to two weeks at a time and paying closer attention to reducing food waste,” said Mr Patrick Seow, Chief Operating Officer of Haier Malaysia. “This is shaping what they expect from their appliances — especially around storage, organisation, freshness and design — and it’s why we’re introducing the Horizon Collection now.”
Freshness Tech Built Around Real Malaysian Kitchens
Freshness sits at the heart of the lineup. Nutribank, which Haier calls the world’s first industry-leading preservation technology, keeps meat fresh for up to 10 days while preserving more than 95% of its protein content. The Active Fresh Zone maintains a constant 90% humidity while minimising condensation, holding fruit and vegetables fresh for up to seven days with 98% Vitamin C retention. ABT Pro handles the hygiene side, removing up to 99.9999% of bacteria and unwanted odours so leftovers stay safe to eat.
Capacity gets a meaningful bump as well. The collection goes “Beyond Space” with over 820L of storage — equivalent to about 38 grocery bags or seven large shopping carts — and includes a 35L freezer compartment that Haier says is the largest in the Malaysian market. Adjustable cantilever shelves and a Day Light panel give full visibility, while the Smart Window and Welcome Light create a more premium “approach” experience. Selected models add an Auto Water Dispenser and a Dual Ice Maker for two ice sizes.
New Dishwasher Pairs With the Kitchen Refresh
Haier also rolled out the latest Haier Dishwasher (HDWA18-686BK5MY), an 18-place-setting unit designed for Asian dishware. The 60,000Pa inverter motor pairs with 5D Dual-side Wash and 80°C Micro Steam Wash+ with UV sterilisation for a cleanliness index of 1.3. AI Wash detects how dirty the load is and picks a programme automatically, while the 240-hour Smart Storage function holds dishes dry and odour-free through auto-opening and closing, fresh air circulation and UV sterilisation.
The launch is paired with a wider SpaceFit series — a 325mm ultra-thin range hood, a 40mm gas hob with upper intake, and a steam combi oven with a patented dual water box that keeps fresh water and wastewater separate. Together with the new dishwasher, the line extends the Horizon Collection’s aesthetic and intelligent convenience from cold storage through cooking and post-meal clean-up.
Availability and the Sunway Pyramid Tour
The Horizon Collection and Dishwasher Series are available now at Haier authorised dealers nationwide. Malaysian shoppers can experience the range at the Haier Horizon tour at Sunway Pyramid from 4 to 6 September 2026, with Touch ‘n Go eWallet credit for the first 50 visitors, a four-station Horizon Challenge game, a children’s colouring contest, daily giveaways and live cooking demonstrations.
