Qira Stops Being a Flagship-Only AI
Lenovo’s personal AI, Lenovo & Motorola Qira, is opening up to far more devices. First unveiled at Tech World and rolled out to more than 20 Lenovo PCs after MWC in March, Qira is now expanding to eligible Lenovo PCs with 16GB of memory, dropping the previous higher-memory-only restriction. Lenovo says the platform now covers more than 80 PC configurations across its commercial and consumer lineups, alongside select tablets and Motorola smartphones.
“Personal AI should not be another app waiting for a prompt,” said Dan Dery, Vice President of AI Ecosystem at Lenovo. “It should understand what matters to you, move with you across devices and help orchestrate next steps across the agents, applications and services you choose.” Eligible users can download Lenovo Qira from Lenovo’s website today; preloads on supported Lenovo devices are coming at a later date.
Motorola’s Android 17 Rollout Brings Qira to Phones and a Watch
Qira is also heading to Motorola devices as they receive the Android 17 upgrade. The rollout starts gradually with select edge, signature and razr models, and timing will vary by device and market. On supported Motorola phones and tablets that already carry moto ai or AI Now, the Android 17 upgrade introduces Motorola Qira — a new generation of cross-device AI for Motorola users.
The bigger news is the wearable side. moto watch ultra becomes the first wearable to support Lenovo & Motorola Qira. Users can raise their wrist or say “Hey Qira” to ask general questions or pull cross-device knowledge, bringing the same personal AI surface to a much smaller screen. Workato Brings Your Apps Into One AI Conversation
The third pillar is integration. Through a new collaboration with Workato, Qira now connects with Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Contacts, Slack, Outlook Mail and Outlook Calendar on supported devices. If a meeting moves or an important update lands in a group chat, Qira’s Catch Me Up feature surfaces it without digging through separate apps.
Lenovo is also extending Qira’s existing integrations. A new collaboration with Notion lets users edit and pull information from their Notion projects directly inside Qira, while an expanded Perplexity integration enables deeper research, including visual references for the things users are trying to learn about. Privacy stays front-and-centre: Qira’s hybrid, local-first architecture prioritises on-device processing where supported, encrypts and stores personal knowledge base information locally, and only sends the prompt plus relevant context to the cloud when an experience specifically requires it.

Qira is already available in Malaysia through the Lenovo website download, with more device support landing as Android 17 rolls out across Motorola phones and as moto watch ultra hits shelves. What Lenovo has done here is more interesting than just adding devices. Qira’s value depends on whether it can pull context from the apps people actually live in — email, calendar, chat, notes — and the Workato integration is the first real proof that Lenovo can do that without owning the apps themselves. The Perplexity and Notion partnerships broaden the same bet: Qira as a layer that sits above productivity tools rather than trying to replace them.
The risk is the usual personal-AI one: if Qira feels like another prompt box, the rollout to more PCs and phones won’t matter.
