ROG Malaysia has posted a teaser hinting at the price of their upcoming gaming handheld, the ROG Ally. With some simple math, we can easily come to the conclusion that the ROG Ally is going to be available in Malaysia for just RM3,299. The post is as follows:

The main hint was that the first device in the first equation is none other than the ROG Flow Z13 ACRNM, which comes in at RM12,999. To sum it up, the clues ended up looking something like this:

  1. RM12,999 + RM18,999 = RM31,998
  2. RM22,999 – RM18,999 = RM4,000
  3. RM22,999 – ROG Ally = RM19,700

The answer for the ROG Ally’s price is definitely RM3,299. This confirms the earlier leaks from a certain Malaysian retailer. I must say, this is a really good price for such an interesting form factor from ROG. Of course, there has been reports of bugs and other issues faced by early adopters, but that’s pretty much the norm for early adopters. Do you remember how terrible the Steam Deck was at launch, or Cyberpunk 2077?

All that’s left to be seen is what ASUS Malaysia has to offer in terms of their first sale bundle, which they have teased for quite some time now. It seems that ASUS has also brought forward their timetable a fair bit, but hey, I ain’t complaining. Can’t wait to get my hands on the ROG Ally!
