OnePlus Unveils Design Details of the Upcoming OnePlus 12
OnePlus, the global technology brand, has officially revealed the design of its much-anticipated OnePlus 12. Building on the success of the OnePlus 11, the design of the OnePlus 12 reflects an evolution with purposeful refinements.
Prominent Design Change: Alert Slider Shift
The most notable alteration in the OnePlus 12 design is the relocation of the iconic Alert Slider to the left side of the phone. This shift enables OnePlus to introduce an integrated antenna and Alert Slider solution, enhancing antenna performance, especially for gaming enthusiasts.
Internal testing indicates that optimal gaming antenna placement is between the user’s forefingers when holding the phone horizontally. The Alert Slider’s previous location on the OnePlus 11 occupied this space. By moving the slider to the opposite side, the OnePlus 12 can deploy superior gaming antennas. This shift, however, posed a challenge to maintain optimal antenna signal strength. OnePlus addresses this using Ultra-compact Full-band Antenna technology and Alert Slider Antenna Integration technology, achieving a 3dB improvement in gaming antenna signal and a 15% reduction in game latency.

Drawing inspiration from the untamed beauty of nature, the design team immersed themselves in the wonders of the Dart River. The ever-changing pattern of the river served as inspiration, captured using the 3X periscope telephoto camera and the 4th Gen Hasselblad Camera for Mobile. The result is a meticulously crafted texture on the glass surface, replicating the braided river’s interwoven strands and seamlessly harmonizing with cutting-edge technology.
