Huawei, a global technology leader, proudly reveals the 57 winners of the XMAGE Awards 2023, recognizing outstanding photographers using Huawei devices. The winners include three Grand Prize, 17 Best-in-Category, 34 Runner-up, and three Honourable Mention awardees.

In an impressive showcase of global creativity, participants from nearly 100 countries submitted over 600,000 entries. China led the submissions, followed closely by Malaysia, Türkiye, Poland, the Philippines, and the UAE. Notably, Malaysia stood out with the highest entries among overseas countries, emphasizing the passion and creativity of Malaysian photographers choosing Huawei devices.

“Wistful Reflection” by Mr. Faizul Hisham bin Haji Mohd Dahalan

Mr. Faizul Hisham bin Haji Mohd Dahalan, a dedicated Mathematics teacher from Malaysia, achieved the Best-in-Category award in the Portrait category with his captivating entry titled “Wistful Reflection,” shot with precision using the HUAWEI Mate 20 Pro.

“Dragon Clouds” by Domcar Calinawan Lagto

The Grand Prize winners, each receiving $10,000 from the XMAGE creation fund, include “Dragon Clouds” by Domcar Calinawan Lagto from the Philippines, “Airshow” by Piotr Cebula from Poland, and “Fearless Eagle” by Dou Chuanli from China.

New categories introduced this year, such as Night Walk, Portrait, Art & Fashion, Outdoor, Hello Life, Storyboard, Action, and Storytelling, provided diverse opportunities for participants to showcase their creativity. The 17 Best-in-Category and 34 Runner-up winners from each category will each receive $1500 and $1000, respectively, from the XMAGE creation fund.
