ASUS Zenbook 14 OLED is Malaysia’s 1st Intel Core Ultra laptop, priced from RM4,499

ASUS Malaysia has just announced the availability of the latest Zenbook 14 OLED (UX3405), featuring the AI-powered Intel Core Ultra processors. They are also very proud of claiming the distinction of being the very first in Malaysia to offer laptops powered by Meteor Lake, although the laptop itself is surely way more interesting than being a mere “Malaysia’s first.”

ASUS Zenbook 14 OLED: Ultralight, ultrathin, ultra powerful?

In their efforts to impress an ever more demanding demographic, the Zenbook 14 OLED (UX3405) is now both thinner and lighter than its predecessor, while also featuring the cutting-edge Intel Core Ultra processors. It is also an Intel Evo Edition ultraportable laptop, that essentially guarantees a great modern computing experience, meeting Intel’s increasingly stringent requirements. With all that said, the ASUS Zenbook 14 OLED does not sacrifice on much to achieve its surprising 1.2kg weight and 14.9mm slim profile.

ASUS managed to cram in up to the Intel Core Ultra 7 155H processor, 32GB LPDDR5X RAM, 1TB PCIe SSD storage along with a huge 75WHr battery. ASUS claims the battery is designed to last longer, capable of supporting 20% more charge cycles than prior models, while also delivering up to 15 hours of juice on a single charge. There’s also a full array of ports, ranging from two Thunderbolt 4 ports that do everything from charging to 4K60 display output to a convenient 3.5mm headphone jack, eliminating the need for any dongles or adapters whatsoever.

On the visual front, ASUS has equipped the Zenbook 14 OLED (UX3405) with their premium ASUS Lumina OLED panels, with this specific example doling out 3K 120Hz visuals. With a 16:10 aspect ratio and accurate colors, this is surely going to deliver a fantastic viewing experience. Audio is powered by powerful new super-linear speakers, although we will wait for our turn with it to see whether they are really all that special.
