ASUS Vivobook 16X (M1603) gets RM400 price cut in Malaysia!

ASUS Vivobook 16X Review-11

The ASUS Vivobook 16X (M1603) is a pretty decent laptop at RM2,999, if you don’t mind the rather lackluster display. But a bigger threat to it was its very own sibling, the Vivobook 15X OLED (M1503) which served up a fantastic 120Hz OLED panel for just RM,3299. However with this price drop to RM2,599, the Vivobook 16X (M1603) may finally have a fighting chance, thanks to a wider price gap to make it more worthy of consideration.

ASUS Vivobook 16X – now priced appropriately

With its new price of RM2,599, the Vivobook 16X (M1603) makes for a much more compelling deal. For students or aspiring young execs looking for their first laptop companion, the Vivobook 16X is a great choice if you want a powerful yet relatively affordable machine.

The main perks of the Vivobook 16X (M1603) is its 16-inch 16:10 display, which provides about 10% extra screen real estate versus regular ol’ 15.6-inch screens, along with the performant Ryzen 5 5600H. The RAM is also upgradeable, with 8GB DDR4 built-in, but you can slap on 16GB more if you see fit.

I can now confidently recommend the Vivobook 16X (M1603) to anyone considering a cheap workhorse. The gap between it and the Vivobook 15X OLED is now much wider at RM700, which makes you really think. Do you want that great OLED screen, or do you want to save that RM700? And oh, did I mention that it comes with a free copy of Office Home & Student that’s worth RM529?
