ASUS ROG’s Flagship Gaming Desktop Lands In Malaysia

ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) Malaysia has launched the ROG G1000, a flagship gaming desktop positioned at the top of its pre-built lineup and engineered around two new technologies: AniMe Holo for chassis customisation and ROG Thermal Atrium for CPU cooling. The system is available now in Malaysia, priced at RM29,999 standalone or RM32,999 as part of a limited bundle with the ROG Strix OLED XG32UQWMS gaming monitor.

AniMe Holo: Personalisation Via Holographic Projection

The headline feature is AniMe Holo, which ROG is calling the world’s first holographic fan system in a pre-built gaming desktop. The treatment uses three X-shaped holographic fans: a 380mm side-panel unit with 720 LEDs, plus dual 215mm front-panel units with 404 LEDs each — 1,528 LEDs in total. The fans operate within isolated modules to keep them quiet and minimise vibration. Integrated via Armoury Crate, AniMe Holo supports 16.77 million colours and can display custom text, system stats or complex animations, turning the front and side panels into a programmable canvas.

ROG Thermal Atrium: A Dedicated Cooling Chamber

The ROG Thermal Atrium is ROG’s first desktop implementation of a Tri-zone Airflow design. The CPU sits in its own dedicated cooling chamber, where a 420mm AIO radiator and three 140mm intake fans pull cool ambient air that has not been pre-heated by the rest of the system. ROG claims the design lowers CPU intake temperatures by up to 16°C under sustained load. The GPU and PSU each get their own isolated airflow zones too — the RTX 5080 draws through front and bottom intakes, while the PSU pulls from beneath the chassis — which keeps heat transfer between components to a minimum and supports quieter operation.

Flagship Power: Ryzen 9 9950X3D + RTX 5080

At the heart of the G1000 is AMD’s Ryzen 9 9950X3D — 16 cores, 32 threads, plus 3D V-Cache for AAA gaming and heavy multitasking. Graphics are handled by an ROG Astral GeForce RTX 5080 16GB GDDR7 OC Edition, paired with an X870 motherboard, 64GB of DDR5-5600 (expandable to 128GB across four U-DIMM slots) and a 1TB M.2 2280 NVMe PCIe 4.0 SSD. Storage is also expandable via four M.2 PCIe SSD slots and six SATA 6Gbps ports, which is more headroom than most pre-builts bother to offer. Wireless is Wi-Fi 7 tri-band with Bluetooth 5.4, wired networking is 2.5Gb Ethernet, and power comes from a 1000W 80+ Gold PSU.

For buyers who want a complete setup out of the box, ASUS is running an exclusive bundle on the e-Store: the ROG G1000 paired with the ROG Strix OLED XG32UQWMS gaming monitor for RM32,999 — a saving of RM2,650 versus the combined MSRP of RM35,649. The bundle is e-Store-only, so it’s worth checking the ROG Malaysia e-Store page rather than the usual retail channels.

Build, Warranty And Availability

The chassis is a 104L ATX Ultra Tower measuring 290 x 582.7 x 614.8mm and weighing 40kg, so plan your desk space accordingly. Front I/O includes 2x USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A, 1x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C, plus headphone and microphone jacks. The rear I/O stacks up to USB4, USB 3.2 Gen 2, three USB 3.2 Gen 1, four USB 2.0, HDMI 2.1b, 2.5Gb Ethernet and three audio jacks. The ROG G1000 is backed by a three-year on-site warranty, reinforcing the ASUS No.1 Quality and Service commitment for buyers who depend on uninterrupted gaming time.

Our Take

The ROG G1000 is positioned at a specific buyer: someone who wants the top of the ASUS desktop stack and is willing to pay for the AniMe Holo customisation layer plus the Thermal Atrium’s dedicated cooling. At RM29,999 standalone, the value calculus comes down to whether AniMe Holo is worth a premium over a custom-built PC with similar specs — for buyers who will actually use the customisation features (streamers, content creators, RGB enthusiasts), the answer is yes; for pure performance-per-ringgit buyers, a DIY build will go further. The e-Store bundle is the smart play for anyone already eyeing the Strix OLED XG32UQWMS.
