GoCar Malaysia has expanded its electric vehicle sharing service, GoEV, with the addition of the TQ Wuling Bingo into the fleet. The compact electric hatchback, which is one of the most affordable EVs in Malaysia at the moment, was launched in the Malaysian market back in December. Now, Malaysians can rent it through GoCar’s app without having to buy one.
This move makes a lot of sense for both parties. GoCar gets a budget-friendly EV to attract more users to its GoEV platform, while potential EV buyers get a low-commitment way to experience what an electric car is actually like in real Malaysian traffic. Whether you’re curious about EVs or just need a car for a few hours, this opens up access in a way ownership never could.
How Much Does It Cost to Rent the TQ Wuling Bingo?
GoCar’s rental pricing for the TQ Wuling Bingo starts at RM17.90 per hour. That said, the minimum booking period is 3 hours, which means the lowest cost for a rental session would be RM53.70 before add-ons. The rental fee does not include the Collision Damage Waiver fee, nor does it include GoCar’s optional Premium Flex package that lets you change booking dates and times, return the car 30 minutes late, and get cancellation refunds.
For context, this puts the Bingo in direct competition with traditional hourly car rental services, but with the added benefit of zero fuel costs. The math works in favour of EV rentals in urban scenarios, especially for short city trips where parking and fuel add up quickly.
Currently Limited to the Klang Valley
Based on the listings in GoCar’s app, the TQ Wuling Bingo is currently only available within the Klang Valley. The exact number of Bingo units in the GoEV fleet remains unclear, but the availability of at least six locations suggests there are at least four to six units operational. The GoCar app listing also does not specify which Bingo variant is available for rental, though customer service confirmed it is the “most basic version,” which we assume is the Bingo Pro.
TQ Wuling Bingo: Quick Specs in Malaysia
The locally-assembled Bingo EV is available in two variants in Malaysia. The Bingo Pro comes with a 31.9kWh LFP battery pack, delivering up to 270km of WLTP-estimated range, and is priced at RM62,800 after the RM5,000 launch rebate for the first 500 units. The Bingo Max steps up to a 37.9kWh battery for an estimated 335km WLTP range, priced at RM67,800 after the same rebate.
Both variants share the same 50kW (67hp) motor producing 150Nm of torque, with a top speed of approximately 130km/h. DC fast charging at 50kW can take the battery from 30% to 80% in under 35 minutes, while 7kW AC charging is also supported. Inside, you’ll find dual 10.25-inch digital displays, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 4-speaker audio system, and six airbags. Safety features include Blind Spot Warning, Lane Change Assist, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, and Door Opening Warning.

GoCar adding the TQ Wuling Bingo to its GoEV fleet is a strategic move that addresses one of the biggest hurdles for EV adoption in Malaysia: the upfront cost barrier. At RM62,800 to RM67,800 to buy, the Bingo is already the most affordable EV in the country, but many Malaysians remain cautious about making such a commitment without first experiencing what EV ownership actually feels like. Hourly rental through GoEV bridges that gap perfectly.
For Malaysian consumers, this is genuinely exciting. You can now rent a TQ Wuling Bingo for a weekend road trip or a week of commuting, experience its real-world range, and decide if an EV fits your lifestyle before spending RM60,000-plus. The 50kW DC charging capability also makes it practical for the Klang Valley, where fast chargers are becoming increasingly available.
