This new arrival immediately catches the eye with its sleek, refined build, proudly holding its own as one of the slimmest smartphones packing a substantial 6500 mAh battery. The big question, however, remains: can the phone truly live up to the alluring legacy of the V50, or does it carve its own path to greatness? Let’s

vivo V60 Build Overview

Holding the vivo V60 is an experience in itself, starting with its captivating slim quad-curved display. This isn’t just a design choice; it’s a statement, featuring an equal-depth curved screen that wraps elegantly around the phone.

The gently curved corners contribute significantly to a comfortable and secure grip, making the vivo V60 a joy to hold for extended periods.

This consistent curve is a signature touch, giving the phone a truly premium and distinct look. Our review unit, an enchanting Berry Purple, looks like an call back from the vivo V50 Ancora Red – a sophisticated, deep shade that truly stands out.

The surface boasts a subtle sand-down finish, which not only feels great but also cleverly resists fingerprints, keeping your vivo V60 looking pristine.

If Berry Purple isn’t your hue, the phone is also available in the understated Mist Gray and the refreshing Summer Blue.

With dimensions of 16.353 × 7.696 cm and a svelte depth of around 0.75 cm, weighing approximately 200g, it feels remarkably solid and well-balanced in the hand.

Durability

When it comes to facing the rigors of daily life, the vivo V60 doesn’t shy away. It proudly carries a top-grade IP68 and IP69 dust and water resistance rating. This means your vivo V60 can handle more than just a splash; it’s certified for submersion in static fresh water at 1.5 meters for a generous 120 minutes under the IP68 standard. A thoughtful addition is the convenient one-tap water ejection feature, providing extra peace of mind.

Beyond water, the phone offers robust full-body drop protection, thanks to its comprehensive cushioning structure and the inclusion of new Diamond Shield Glass.

For those that are not familiar with this glass, it is a product from German specialty glass manufacturer Schott, renowned for its exceptional durability and drop resistance. This commitment to protection ensures the phone is built to withstand accidental bumps and drops, making it a reliable companion.

Display

The display on the vivo V60 is truly a feast for the eyes. It’s a slim, quad-curved AMOLED panel, stretching a generous 17.20 cm (6.77 inches) diagonally. With a sharp resolution of 2392 × 1080 pixels, everything looks incredibly crisp.

The vibrant visuals are further enhanced by a silky-smooth 120 Hz refresh rate, making gaming and interacting with the phone feel incredibly fluid.

This screen can display a staggering 1.07 billion colors and boasts a cinema-grade P3 wide color gamut, ensuring that every image and video pops with lifelike accuracy.

Plus, with HDR10+ support, you’ll experience incredible contrast and dynamic range in compatible content.

The vivo V60‘s display is remarkably bright, hitting 5000 nits of local peak brightness and 1500 nits of max global brightness, which means excellent readability even under direct sunlight.

Coupled with an SGS low blue light certification for eye comfort, the display is not just technically impressive; it’s an experience. Videos come alive, appearing to pop out of the screen like starlight on a clear night, while the high frame rate ensures games are intensely engaging, pulling you deeper into the action.

Audio

When it comes to sound, the vivo V60 aims to immerse you. It comes equipped with dual stereo speakers, delivering a rich and surrounding audio experience that elevates your media consumption.

However, it’s worth noting a common trend in modern smartphones: the phone foregoes the traditional 3.5mm headphone jack. This means users will need to rely on either Bluetooth headphones or an external DAC connected via the USB Type-C port for wired audio.

Despite not carrying a specific Dolby certification, the audio output is more than decent, offering a satisfying sound quality for watching your favorite shows or enjoying music on its own.

Biometrics & Security

Keeping your vivo V60 secure yet easily accessible is paramount, and vivo has implemented thoughtful solutions. For biometric authentication, the phone features a highly convenient in-display optical fingerprint sensor. It’s quick, accurate, and seamlessly integrated into the screen for a modern unlocking experience.

For an additional layer of security and convenience, the phone also supports face unlock. This dual approach ensures you have flexible and robust options to secure your device and access your content with speed and peace of mind.

vivo V60 Cameras

The camera system on the vivo V60 is undoubtedly one of its most compelling features, especially given its co-engineering with ZEISS. On the rear, you’ll find a powerful trio of lenses. The star of the show is the 50 MP ZEISS OIS Main Camera, boasting a wide f/1.88 aperture, an 84° field of view, and a high-quality 6P lens. This sensor is the acclaimed Sony IMX766, known for its excellent low-light performance, paired with a substantial 1/1.56″ sensor size.

For capturing distant subjects with stunning clarity, there’s a 50 MP ZEISS Super Telephoto Camera with OIS, featuring an f/2.65 aperture, a 33.1° field of view, and a 4P lens, utilizing the capable Sony IMX882 Sensor.

Rounding out the rear setup is an 8 MP ZEISS Ultra Wide-Angle Camera with an f/2.0 aperture and a generous 120° field of view, perfect for sweeping landscapes or large group shots.

And for those picture-perfect selfies, the phone is equipped with a 50 MP ZEISS Group Selfie Camera that includes autofocus, an f/2.2 aperture, a 92° field of view, and a 5P lens, ensuring everyone looks their best.

User Experience

Our journey with the vivo V60‘s ZEISS optic camera system presented a bit of a mixed bag, offering both delightful surprises and areas for improvement. On the one hand, the collaboration between ZEISS optics and vivo’s image processing consistently produces great images.

They tend to have a slightly flatter, more natural look, which we found quite refreshing compared to the often over-processed and saturated photos from some competitors.

This approach leads to a more authentic photographic rendition. The 10x zoom capability is something we genuinely appreciated, offering a glimpse into distant scenes.

However, our results with it were a bit inconsistent. At times, it felt more akin to a digital zoom rather than a true optical one, or perhaps a blend. While some images captured with the 10x zoom were remarkably sharp, others seemed to lack the fine textures we hoped for.

It was a genuine hit-or-miss situation, suggesting that while the potential is there, a bit more refinement could unlock its full capabilities.

vivo V60 Internal Hardware

SOC

At the heart of the vivo V60 beats the formidable Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 Mobile Platform. This octa-core processor, clocked at an impressive up to 2.8 GHz, is engineered on an advanced 4 nm manufacturing process.

This isn’t just a number; it translates directly into a significant performance boost for the vivo V60. You can expect a 27% faster CPU, a 30% stronger GPU, and a noticeable 26% boost in gaming efficiency compared to its predecessor. The core configuration is intelligently designed with a powerful single 2.8 GHz core for peak tasks, four efficient 2.4 GHz cores for demanding workloads, and three 1.8 GHz cores for everyday operations.

This robust and balanced chip ensures the phone handles everything you throw at it, from intense multitasking to graphic-heavy gaming, with effortless speed and responsiveness.

RAM & Storage

When it comes to memory and storage, the vivo V60 offers a solid foundation to keep your apps running smoothly and your files readily accessible. It comes equipped with LPDDR4X RAM for efficient multitasking and UFS 2.2 storage for reasonably quick data access. You’ll find the vivo V60 available in several configurations to suit different needs: options include 8GB RAM with either 128GB or 256GB of internal storage, a beefier 12GB RAM paired with 256GB storage, and a top-tier 16GB RAM model boasting a spacious 512GB of storage.

Our review unit was the 12GB RAM version, and while it’s hard to definitively quantify, we certainly felt that the generous amount of RAM contributed significantly to the overall fluid and responsive user experience of the phone. While the phone also intelligently supports expandable virtual RAM, adding an additional 8GB or even 12GB depending on the variant, it’s important to note that it does not feature a slot for expandable physical storage via a memory card.

Network and Connectivity

Staying connected is a breeze with the vivo V60, which offers a comprehensive suite of network and connectivity options. It provides robust 5G and 4G support, ensuring you’re ready for the fastest mobile data speeds available. For local wireless connections, the phone is equipped with dual-band Wi-Fi 5 (802.11 a/b/g/n/ac), operating efficiently on both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequencies.

It also features Bluetooth version 5.4 for seamless pairing with all your wireless accessories, and the convenience of NFC for quick payments and device pairing. GPS capabilities are fully integrated, including support for A-GPS and Glonass, ensuring accurate navigation wherever you go.

A standout feature is the AI SuperLink system, which uses intelligent technology to provide 360-degree network coverage and AI-powered network selection, actively working to keep your connections stable and reliable even in challenging signal environments.

vivo V60 Battery

One of the most impressive aspects of the vivo V60 is its substantial 6500 mAh battery capacity (with a rated capacity of 6330 mAh). This powerhouse is designed to keep you going all day and beyond, supported by blazing-fast 90W FlashCharge technology.

Under the hood, it incorporates vivo’s innovative BlueVolt Battery System with 3rd-Gen Silicon Carbon Anode Tech, which is a key contributor to its remarkable longevity claims. Vivo suggests you can expect up to 9 hours of navigation or a marathon 22 hours of YouTube playback on a single charge – numbers that speak volumes about its endurance.

Benchmark

To put the vivo V60‘s impressive battery claims to the test, we ran it through the rigorous UL benchmark PC Mark. The results were quite compelling: the vivo V60 managed to deliver an excellent 13 hours and 7 minutes of continuous use.

This benchmark unequivocally demonstrates the exceptional efficiency of the phone and the robust performance of its powerful battery, confirming it as a device you can rely on to last through your busiest days.

vivo V60 Software & AI Features

The software experience on the vivo V60 is both modern and forward-looking, powered by Android 15 with Funtouch OS 15 layered on top. Vivo has made a strong commitment to long-term support for the phone, promising an impressive five years of smooth usage, four major OS upgrades, and six years of security updates, ensuring your device remains current and protected.

Beyond the core operating system, the vivo V60 is packed with unique software and AI features designed to enhance your daily interactions. These include the comprehensive AI Photography Suite, deep integration with Google Gemini offering functionalities like Gemini Live and Connected Apps, and innovative tools such as AI Magic Move and AI Image Expander.

The handy AI Captions feature can intelligently transcribe meetings, translate languages in real-time, and even provide smart summaries. Additionally, the vivo V60 incorporates an AI Smart Call Assistant and benefits from an updated Funtouch OS with fresh design elements and aqua dynamic effects, all contributing to a lightning-speed engine for noticeably improved app launch speeds and a slick overall user experience.

vivo V60 User Experience

Just like you’d expect from a cutting-edge device, navigating the vivo V60 is a wonderfully smooth experience. From swiping through apps to browsing the web, every interaction feels fluid and responsive. What truly surprised and pleased us about the vivo V60 was its remarkably well-organized approach to bloatware.

Instead of aggressively pre-installing apps, Vivo opts for a clever folder system to “suggest” applications, making it incredibly easy for users to remove any unwanted software with a tap. We definitely call that a win for user control! Thanks to the powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor, the phone transforms into a gaming powerhouse.

We put it through its paces with some of the most demanding titles out there—Genshin Impact, World Thunder, Wuthering Wave, and Diablo Immortal—and the phone handled them all with exceptional grace. Even during intense gaming sessions, everything ran smoothly, showcasing performance that truly rivals many flagship smartphones.

vivo V60 Conclusion

After putting the vivo V60 through its paces, it’s clear that this smartphone offers a compelling package, especially when considering its price point. At RM1899 for the 8GB RAM variant and RM1999 for the 12GB RAM variant, it presents a reasonable investment for the smooth experience and superior optical performance it delivers.

The phone impresses with its premium build, durable IP68/69 design, and vibrant 120Hz AMOLED display. Performance is robust thanks to the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4, complemented by a ZEISS-engineered camera and a large 6500 mAh battery with 90W FlashCharge. Long-term Android 15 support further enhances its value. However, the 10x camera zoom can be inconsistent, and it lacks a 3.5mm headphone jack and expandable storage.

Despite these few drawbacks, the vivo V60‘s overall balance of performance, features, and value is exceptional. We wholeheartedly recommend the vivo V60 to anyone in the market for a high-performing smartphone that punches above its weight. For its innovation and user-centric design, the phone proudly receives the HelloExpress Gold award.
