ROG Phone 6 Malaysia pricing starts from just RM3599!
The ROG Phone 6 and 6 Pro are now official! Along with the global launch, ROG Malaysia announced the local pricing, early-bird freebies and even the PWP deals.
ROG Phone 6 — the world’s first splash resistant gaming phone
All the teased/leaked features in our previous article turned out to be true, and yes, the ROG Phone 6 is finally, the world’s first splash resistant gaming phone. With an IPX4 rating, you still can’t dunk the ROG Phone 6 in an ice bucket to cool it down quickly, but at least you can spritz it with some water to lower temperatures.
Speaking of which, ROG worked hard to improve on the cooling, with the ROG Phone 6 featuring an upgrade GameCool 6 cooling system, bringing 360° CPU cooling for maximum sustained performance. Combining a 30% larger vapor chamber, 85% larger graphite sheets and a space-grade boron nitride filler, the ROG Phone 6 promises up to 10°C lower temperatures than its predecessor.
If that’s not enough, the new ROG AeroActive Cooler 6 features a thermoelectric cooler along with a fan, to further lower surface temperatures by up to 25°C. Since the ROG Phone 6 comes with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 which is more efficient and more powerful, you might not really need to use the additional cooling. Or will you? Well, we will have to find out for ourselves soon. The ROG AeroActive Cooler 6 also comes with four extra physical buttons for a console-like gaming experience.
On the front of the ROG Phone 6 and 6 Pro, we have a 165Hz Samsung AMOLED display, with an industry-leading 720Hz polling rate for a precise touch experience. For an added edge over lesser smartphones, the ROG Phone 6 also gets the latest AirTrigger 6, now supporting more gestures and also gryoscope aiming.
While cameras will probably be the least of your concerns with a gaming phone, the ROG Phone 6 features a flagship-class 50MP IMX766 main camera, along with the auxiliary 13MP ultra-wide and macro cameras. Accompanying the massive camera bump housing the trio of rear cameras is a beautiful RGB panel on the ROG Phone 6, or the color OLED display, the ROG Vision.
ROG Phone 6 and 6 Pro Price in Malaysia
The ROG Phone 6 will be available in Malaysia in two variants, in both Storm White and Phantom Black color options. The ROG Phone 6 (12GB+256GB) is priced at RM3,599, while the 16GB + 512GB variant will be available for RM4,399. Both variants will be available in Malaysia starting from August 2022. Meanwhile the ROG Phone 6 Pro with 18GB RAM and 512GB storage will be priced at RM4,999. Availability is set for September 2022 for the ROG Phone 6 Pro.
Pre-orders for the ROG Phone 6 will commence on 6th July 2022 on Shopee and offline channels, with RM548 worth of early bird freebies, comprising of a 1-year warranty extension (worth RM199) and an AeroActive Cooler 6 (worth RM349). On top of that, pre-orders of the ROG Phone 6 on Shopee will also be entitled to 10% off on the ROG Slash Hip Bag and ROG Slash Crossbody Bag, which are priced at RM499 and RM399, respectively.
