Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. has announced its 2025 lineup of Snapdragon G Series Gaming Platforms at the Game Developers Conference. This new portfolio is designed to power handheld gaming devices for a wide range of players, offering enhanced performance and immersive gaming experiences.
Next-Generation Snapdragon G Series Platforms

The new Snapdragon G Series includes three platforms, each catering to different gaming needs:

- Snapdragon G3 Gen 3: This platform supports Lumen, Unreal Engine 5’s dynamic illumination and reflections system, for Android handheld gaming devices. It offers 30% faster CPU performance and 28% faster graphics capabilities compared to the previous generation, along with improved power efficiency. It also supports Wi-Fi 7 for reduced latency and increased bandwidth.
- Snapdragon G2 Gen 2: Aimed at gaming and cloud gaming at 144FPS, this platform provides a balance of performance and efficiency. It boasts a 2.3x CPU performance increase and 3.8x faster GPU capabilities over the Snapdragon G2 Gen 1. The platform also supports Wi-Fi 7 for faster wireless connections.
- Snapdragon G1 Gen 2: Designed for cloud gaming on dedicated handheld Android devices, this platform delivers up to 1080p at 120 FPS over Wi-Fi. It offers 80% faster CPU and 25% faster GPU performance for seamless gameplay.
