Haier Cup 2025: An Expansive Tournament
Since its inception in 2023 with approximately 390 participants, the Haier Cup has demonstrated consistent growth. This year, Haier Malaysia anticipates welcoming over 1,000 participants across four categories: Men’s Singles, Men’s Doubles, Women’s Doubles, and Mixed Doubles.
The main Haier Cup is open to all badminton aficionados aged 18 and above, featuring an amplified format with regional qualifiers spanning East, South, North, and Central Malaysia. The journey to the grand finals commences with the State Challenge phase, beginning in Kuching before proceeding to Johor, Penang, and Kuala Lumpur.
The champions and runners-up from each State Challenge will secure a coveted spot in the Grand Finals, scheduled to take place in Kuala Lumpur on August 10, 2025. This final stage offers a chance to achieve ultimate glory and a unique opportunity to represent Malaysia at Haier’s regional tournament in Indonesia. The national champions will compete against top amateur badminton players from Indonesia, the Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam. All travel and accommodation expenses for the regional tournament will be fully borne by Haier Malaysia.
