ASUS Zenbook S 14 and Vivobook S 14: Lunar Lake-powered Copilot+ PCs with next-gen efficiency
More AI performance, more battery life, more portability; that’s exactly what the new ASUS Zenbook S 14 and Vivobook S 14 deliver, thanks to the new Intel “Lunar Lake” Core Ultra mobile processors (Series 2) under their respective hoods. The new processors mark a radical one-off shift for Intel: as they depart from monolithic dies manufactured by Intel, to a tile-based design manufactured by TSMC. The result? Impressive performance and battery life.
Intel Core Ultra processors (Series 2): huge performance and efficiency gains

With Lunar Lake, Intel was able to optimize the cost and efficiency of each component that makes up the processor. The Compute Tile, which comprises of all the CPU cores (both P-core and E-cores), GPU and NPU as well as the memory controller, is manufactured on the cutting-edge TSMC N3B process, enabling fantastic efficiency. Meanwhile, the less power-hungry Platform I/O tile is manufactured on the more cost-efficient TSMC 6nm node.

Last year, ASUS worked closely with Intel to develop the ASUS Supernova SoM, and it seems that Intel was taking notes. To further enhance efficiency, Intel also packed the memory closer to the processor itself. So close, that they’re on the same package. The LPDDR5X-8533 memory together with the processor for better efficiency, lower latency and faster speeds. Overall, we’re looking at an incredible 80% increase in performance-per-watt with Lunar Lake versus the prior generation.

The faster memory also helps to deliver better GPU performance, with Lunar Lake bringing a one-two punch of faster memory and the new Intel Xe2 integrated graphics architecture. On the graphics end, we’re seeing 50% higher performance than what we got with Meteor Lake, and also much faster AI performance. Speaking of which, the NPU in Lunar Lake harnesses the new NPU4 architecture to deliver over 4X the AI performance of Meteor Lake. This is why the ASUS Zenbook S 14 and Vivobook S 14 are certified as Copilot+ PCs, ready to deliver the next-gen AI computing experiences that Microsoft is cooking up.
ASUS Zenbook S 14: 1.1kg light, 12mm thin ultraportable

For those seeking a premium, powerful laptop that doesn’t weigh you down, the ASUS Zenbook S 14 is the ideal choice. Even in such a thin and light chassis, ASUS managed to cram in a huge 72WHr battery, which ASUS claims to deliver 27 hours of battery life. In our tests, that figure seems a bit optimistic, but we still got an impressive 19 hours in our standardized PCMark battery life testing. Our daily use saw the Zenbook S 14 give us over two days of use before needing to be plugged in.

And as if that wasn’t incredible enough, these figures were achieved with a high-resolution 3K ASUS Lumina OLED display. This amazing 14-inch panel also boasts a 120Hz refresh rate that allows you to take full advantage of the Intel Xe2 graphics with some games like Zenless Zone Zero, if you feel like it. Or just enjoy some movies with the impactful quad-speaker configuration. All of this is crammed into a sleek Ceraluminum chassis that is not just more premium, but also built tougher than your average aluminum laptop shell.
ASUS Vivobook S 14: a simpler alternative

The ASUS Vivobook S 14 offers a more wallet-friendly option for those who seek the incredible performance and battery life of Lunar Lake, without the premium price tag of the ASUS Zenbook S 14. With that said, there’s still plenty to love with the ASUS Vivobook S 14.

For starters, you get a fantastic OLED display. The ASUS Lumina OLED panel here comes with an FHD+ resolution and 60Hz refresh rate, with the sweet 100% DCI-P3 gamut and Pantone Validated colors. ASUS also managed to cram in a 75WHr battery into the Vivobook S 14’s 1.3kg light and 13mm thin chassis. And before you think that the ASUS Vivobook S 14 is less durable, both the Vivobook S 14 and Zenbook S 14 meet the strict US MIL-STD 810H durability standards, ensuring absolute peace of mind for you even in extreme conditions.
