RTX Spark puts serious local AI into ProArt PCs

ASUS has brought NVIDIA RTX Spark to the ProArt P16, P14 and GR1X. Unveiled at its dedicated IFA media showroom in Berlin, the trio is designed to run large AI models and creator workloads locally. ASUS calls them the world’s first Windows PCs built specifically for personal agents, although software support and availability will test that claim.

The platform combines a 6,144-core Blackwell RTX GPU, up to a 20-core Grace CPU, fifth-generation Tensor Cores and NVLink-C2C connectivity. ASUS says it delivers up to one petaflop of AI performance and supports 128GB of unified memory. Developers could run models with up to 120 billion parameters, while 3D artists work on scenes larger than 90GB and video creators generate 4K AI content locally.

Agentic software is central to the pitch

ASUS is presenting RTX Spark as a private, always-available AI workstation that keeps prompts, files and projects on the device. Local processing reduces cloud costs, permits repeated agent runs without token limits and keeps workflows available offline. It also lets users customise models and tools for specific jobs.

MuseTree supports local image generation with FLUX and WAN, while StoryCube adds scene recognition and media organisation. ComfyUI workflows and Zenni Claw demonstrations connect generation, editing and asset management. Adobe Creative Cloud bundles and a Google AI package on eligible models provide a local-and-cloud workflow.

ProArt P16 and P14 keep the power portable

The 16-inch ProArt P16 is the larger option for video, 3D and AI development. It measures 12.9mm and 1.77kg, with a 99Wh battery. The P14 weighs 1.48kg, measures 13.9mm and has a 90Wh battery. Both use Lumina Pro OLED panels with Delta E below one and up to 1,600 nits; the P16 offers 4K 120Hz with G-SYNC, while the P14 supports up to 3K.

Both laptops come in Nano Black or Neo White, with a haptic touchpad and broad port selection. Their thin CNC-machined chassis makes RTX Spark more portable than many discrete-GPU workstations. Independent battery and sustained-performance tests are still needed.

GR1X packages the platform into a mini PC

The ProArt GR1X crams RTX Spark into a 150 × 150 × 51mm chassis. ASUS says its dual-fan cooling uses 218 blades, covers up to 1.6 times more thermal area and supports seven fan levels for 24/7 operation. The Black or Silver mini PC includes 10GbE Ethernet, WiFi 7, Bluetooth 5.4 and up to four 4K displays.

That makes the GR1X a compact workstation for local models, rendering and media production. Its value will depend on pricing, since the laptops add displays and batteries. A competitive price could appeal to owners of high-end monitors who want an always-on AI system.

Broader ASUS AI PC lineup at IFA

ASUS also expanded the ProArt ecosystem with motherboards, graphics cards, cooling products, displays and peripherals, alongside the new Zenbook 14 and ExpertBook Ultra. One DIY configuration paired a Z890-CREATOR WIFI motherboard with a GeForce RTX 5070 Ti OC, 32GB DDR5 and the 31.5-inch 6K PA32QCV display.

Malaysian pricing and launch dates remain unconfirmed. The new systems also differ from the ProArt P16 models already covered by Helloexpress, which use different processors and graphics. Buyers should wait for local specifications, warranty details and final configurations before treating the one-petaflop claim as a purchase reason.

Our Take

ASUS and NVIDIA are pitching a credible alternative to sending every task to the cloud: local memory and acceleration large enough for substantial models, plus software that can automate a creative process. The unified 128GB pool is the strongest feature, addressing a key limitation of conventional creator laptops. Most performance claims still need independent testing.

The privacy and offline angle will appeal to creators handling confidential assets, while developers may value local models without metered API calls. That premium must be justified by real speed and efficiency. Malaysian availability, software compatibility and independent thermal, battery and noise tests are the next milestones.
