Malaysian Expertise to Help Shape Global Film Festival
The Alternativa Film Festival, a non-profit initiative created by inDrive, has announced its 2026 Selection Committee, with a key role for Malaysian talent. Film Lecturer Yow Chong Lee from Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS) has been selected to help curate the festival’s Competition Program, which will focus on impactful films from Latin America and Asia.

The announcement was made at the Bogotá Audiovisual Market (BAM) in Colombia, the host country for the 2026 festival. Mr. Yow joins a diverse group of film curators, programmers, and impact experts from around the globe.
