Located at The Light Waterfront in Gelugor, Penang, the Lin Xiang Xiong Art Gallery spans 8,000 square metres and houses over 300 representative works of internationally renowned artist Professor Lin Xiang Xiong. Since its opening in December 2025, the gallery has emerged as a cultural landmark in Asia.
Lucrative Rewards
To recognize the artistic talent of photographers, organizers establish a prize pool and honors totaling RM20,000:
- First Prize: RM5,000 plus Certificate
- Second Prize: RM3,000 plus Certificate
- Third Prize: RM2,000 plus Certificate
- Merit Prize (10 winners): RM500 each plus Certificate
- Consolation Prize (20 winners): RM250 each plus Certificate
All winning works will have the opportunity to be exhibited at the Lin Xiang Xiong Art Gallery to a global audience and featured in the gallery’s official architectural commemorative photobook.
Core Requirement
The competition emphasizes in-depth creative exploration and structured visual storytelling. Participants must submit one series consisting of five interconnected photographs presenting a cohesive narrative conveying themes of inclusivity, hope, and coexistence.
While each photograph may explore a different subject, the series must cover two perspectives: Interior Spaces capturing the artistic atmosphere and humanistic details within the gallery, and Exterior Architecture presenting the architectural form of the 8,000-square-metre gallery building along with its harmonious relationship with the surrounding coastal landscape.
