HYTE Y50 RGB Lands In Malaysia At RM499

Following its earlier Computex debut in Taiwan, HYTE’s Y50 RGB Essential Aesthetic Case is now officially on sale in Malaysia at a suggested retail price of RM499. The case is the brand’s first mainstream-accessible entry in its Y-Series, built around HYTE’s signature three-piece panoramic glass design and dual-chamber layout.

The Y50 RGB introduces a handful of refinements that didn’t exist in earlier HYTE cases: stair-stepped flooring for extra interior personalisation, horizontal GPU mounting for multi-GPU configurations, and native support for rear-connect motherboard ecosystems including ASUS BTF, Gigabyte STEALTH, and MSI Project ZERO ATX form factor boards. The result is a cleaner look out of the box, especially for builders chasing that fully cabled-back, glass-everywhere aesthetic.

At launch, the Y50 RGB ships in five colourways — Snow White, Pitch Black, Black Cherry, Strawberry Milk, and Taro Milk — giving builders more choice than the typical black-or-white split. Four ARGB fans come pre-installed out of the box: one reverse-blade 360mm RGB fan on the side, plus one 120mm RGB fan at the rear. Cooling headroom extends to nine fans total, with the top and side panels both supporting up to 360mm radiators up to 410mm long.

Storage capacity is generous: six 2.5-inch drive mounts (four shared with 3.5-inch bays) and two dedicated 3.5-inch bays. The front I/O is symmetrical and tucked into the corner — two USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 ports, one USB-C 3.2 Gen 2, and a single combo audio jack. CPU cooler clearance runs to 160mm, PSU support tops out at 250mm ATX (or 225mm with rear-connect motherboards), and HYTE backs the case with a three-year warranty.

For builders in the market for a panoramic-glass case at this price point, the Y50 RGB sits in an interesting spot: cheaper than many flagship showcase cases, but with rear-connect support and the kind of cooling capacity you’d expect on more expensive enclosures. The colourway selection, especially the pastel Strawberry Milk and Taro Milk options, also gives the case a personality most of its peers don’t.

Our Take

HYTE has been steadily carving out a niche between mainstream value cases and boutique showcase enclosures, and the Y50 RGB is its clearest pitch yet at the mainstream-AF price bracket. The RM499 sticker is competitive for a panoramic-glass dual-chamber case, and rear-connect compatibility means Malaysian builders using the latest ASUS, Gigabyte, or MSI boards can finally skip the cable-management struggle. The pastel colourways are a nice touch — they’re going to land well on social media, which is probably the point.
