Two Flavours of DDR5 Overclocking

Essencore’s KLEVV brand has rolled out two new high-end DDR5 memory kits — the CRAS V RGB and the URBANE V RGB — both aimed at extreme overclockers, gaming enthusiasts, and professional creators who want bleeding-edge memory speeds without compromising on aesthetics or thermals. Both kits are rated up to 8400 MT/s and ship with Intel XMP 3.0 and AMD EXPO profiles baked in for one-click BIOS tuning.

The two products target slightly different buyers within the enthusiast market, and the differences matter.

CRAS V RGB: The Overclocker’s Choice

The CRAS V RGB is the more premium of the two, built around an aluminum heatsink available in Obsidian Black and Brilliant White. The signature side light guides project RGB onto the motherboard’s DIMM area, and the lighting is fully customisable through the major motherboard sync ecosystems — ASUS Aura Sync, Gigabyte RGB Fusion, MSI Mystic Light and ASRock Polychrome Sync.

Design-wise, the CRAS V RGB has earned industry recognition in the form of an iF Design Award, and on the platform side it is optimised for the latest Intel Core Ultra 200 and 200S series processors alongside AMD’s Ryzen 9000 series. With XMP 3.0 and EXPO profiles onboard, users can push past the JEDEC baseline with a single BIOS setting.

URBANE V RGB: Compact and Clean

The URBANE V RGB is the choice for builders who prioritise clearance and clean aesthetics. With a 42.5mm module height, it fits under tall air coolers and inside compact cases where taller RGB sticks would otherwise foul the heatsink. The module body features rounded edges with linear grooves for better thermal dissipation, finished in Jet Black or Brilliant White, and topped with a distinctive light guide that casts a double-beam RGB effect.

Internally, the URBANE V RGB is built on a 10-layer PCB with an On-DIMM Power Management IC (PMIC) and On-Die ECC (ODECC) for stable power delivery and signal integrity at high frequencies. Like its sibling, it carries an iF Design Award and tops out at 8400 MT/s with full XMP 3.0 and EXPO support.

Peace of Mind: QVL Testing and Lifetime Warranty

Both the CRAS V RGB and URBANE V RGB are tested across mainstream motherboards for strict QVL (Qualified Vendor List) compatibility, which matters at 8000+ MT/s where chipset and CPU memory controller tolerances get tight. Every module ships with a limited lifetime warranty, giving KLEVV buyers long-term reliability for future platform upgrades.

Availability

The CRAS V RGB and URBANE V RGB DDR5 kits are available through KLEVV’s authorised distributor and retail channels worldwide. Malaysian pricing and channel partners were not announced in the release.

Our Take

KLEVV has carved out a useful niche in the enthusiast DDR5 market by offering iF Design Award-winning hardware that usually undercuts the dominant brands like G.Skill, Kingston Fury and Corsair on price. The two-product split is also smart: CRAS V RGB for buyers who want the full RGB show, URBANE V RGB for builders who need that 42.5mm clearance with a quieter aesthetic.

The catch — and this is true of any 8400 MT/s kit — is that you will need a recent Intel Core Ultra 200K/200S or AMD Ryzen 9000 platform to actually hit the rated speeds. Older platforms will run them at JEDEC baseline (4800–5600 MT/s), which leaves a lot of the value on the table. Build with the right motherboard and you are getting bleeding-edge memory; build with older silicon and you are paying premium for a JEDEC kit.

For Malaysian buyers, KLEVV typically routes through distributors and resellers on Shopee and Lazada, plus specialist PC shops in Low Yat and IT centres in Penang and Johor. Worth checking current stock against the listed speeds before committing, since DDR5 pricing has been swinging month to month.
