Brother Malaysia Donates to Support Breast Cancer Screening and Children’s Care

TLDR:

Brother International Malaysia, a company specializing in printing, labeling, and sewing solutions, has donated RM20,000 to the National Cancer Society Malaysia (NCSM). This contribution will directly support two initiatives:

Long-Standing Partnership with NCSM

Brother Malaysia has maintained a partnership with NCSM since 2011, actively participating in their annual Relay for Life event to raise awareness and funds for cancer research. This recent donation further demonstrates their commitment to supporting healthcare initiatives and empowering individuals within their communities.

Importance of Early Detection

“We believe everyone deserves access to quality healthcare,” said Tsutomu Takaki, Managing Director of Brother International (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd. “This donation highlights the importance of early detection in fighting breast cancer, a disease affecting one in 19 women in Malaysia.”

Gratitude for Brother Malaysia’s Support

Dr. Murallitharan Munisamy, Managing Director of NCSM, expressed his appreciation for Brother Malaysia’s contribution. “Early detection is crucial, and by providing free mammograms, we empower women to take control of their health and improve treatment outcomes.”

Supporting Children’s Care

The donation will also help cover operational costs at NCSM’s Children’s Home of Hope, which provides free accommodation for underprivileged children undergoing cancer treatment. “Brother Malaysia’s contribution ensures we can continue offering the best care to these children,” said Dr. Murallitharan.
